Enterprise Minister Launches Business Start Programme for Strabane & Omagh

Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster launches a new programme aimed at helping businesses in Strabane and Omagh grow through tailored sales and marketing support. The Inspire Business Programme, part funded by Invest Northern Ireland and the European Regional Development Fund, is a new joint initiative between Strabane and Omagh District Councils and is open to small and medium sized businesses in the Council areas. 2009 Up-Start Competition

Winners and Advisor of the Up-Start Competition, a business pitch competition open to participants enrolled in CIBC Presents Entrepreneurship 101. Individuals, or teams of individuals, have to give a ten minute presentation on an idea for a technology based business that they wish to implement (or, if appropriate, for a business that they have already started). They are expected to apply the concepts that they have learned from the course to their business idea, and to make a compelling case that this will lead to a very successful business.
