Here's how it would work. Go to mapping program of your choice. Find you address. Select the street corner you are on. Or find the google street view angle which shows your storefront window.

Given this orientation information, the script will generate a small map of the local area which is properly oriented for a person standing outside your store looking at your window. The map will have a "you are here" button and several other markers for the other businesses in the area the person can visit. This is a way to strengthen a local business community. The same way a mall strengthens itself by providing a directory map.

Apparently the "local business" in Local business spotlight is 435 Digital, the Tribune's own digital marketing agency. The two stories in this box are a hiring announcement ("hiring away" the Trib's SEO expert) and a 435 Digital blog post.

Meanwhile, the box just above it is "Around the Web," populated with stories from ChicagoNow, Metromix and Chicago magazine, all Tribune properties.

The “Masterplan” to rebuild the area, is feared to bring unaffordable rents and lease for local population and business. Small business already in the area will be driven out and the neighborhood fears rising rents and gentrification. As the area was blocked off and protected by the police and private security, the party had to be held directly on the street. At the end of the day, by mysterical intervention, a door opened, which enabled people to enter the areal.
